"Keith and Daphne" ad backfires

Daniella Hall
Daniella Hall, better known to all as "Daphne", from the UNC television advertisement featuring Keith and Daphne, turned up at the PNM rally at Constantine Park.

"Keith and Daphne" has been featured in a UNC television ad with their nightly criticism of the policies of PNM Patrick Manning. In the ad, she was supposed to be convincing "Keith" to join the UNC.

The crowd became aware of the presence of "Daphne" when Laventille East/Morvant candidate Fitzgerald Hinds took to the podium.

When party leader Patrick Manning arrived with his carpet of supporters, Hall was in the thick of the crowd and when she was able to, she held on to "Mr. Patrick" and gave him a big hug.

Hall confessed that she was a PNM supporter.

"Yes I am a PNM supporter, but I am also an actress and I had a job to do. I was paid for those ads," she said.

A. H. Hotep:
This has turned out to be a big embarrassment for the UNC government that neglected to contract the pair until the end of the Elections.
Tonight a movie type ad was to be the climax of the UNC campaign where "Daphne" is to finally convince "Keith" to vote for the UNC.

The reality of her presence and support for the PNM Opposition party has dampened the impact of the ad. She took the advice of the PNM and ate from the UNC then go back to the PNM to vote.

PNM embracing Daniella Hall was politically correct but her conduct is at the core of the problem with most people. Their want of money comes before principles. She cooperated with a political party to mislead the nation and now claims she does not support the party; She claims that she is a professional actress and was only doing a job. It took valuable resources to clear up deceptions that she was a part of spreading.
