July 23, 2001, on the occasion of the 109^th Earthday Celebrations of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Sellassie, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of God, Earth’s Rightful Ruler, The Light and Protection of our Salvation, Defender of the Faith, Hallow and Blessed be his Name.

The Rastafari Collective would like to remind each and everyone of us who are citizens among various nations of the world, that we expect of ourselves wherever we are, that our arduous toil, strenuous devotion, untiring zeal, exemplary behavior and purposeful action be directed to the growth and strengthening of our Nation. From our heart felt beginnings in the island of Jamaica among the humblest of the humble, we are now spread into all corners of the Earth and dramatically increasing in numbers and influence. With this success come great responsibility as emphasized by the words of his H.I.M

It is because the present generation is cherishing and keeping intact what it has received from the past that it has succeeded in attaining its present stage of development, by making the necessary changes and improvements called for by conditions now existing. This would require great foresight and the work accomplished as far as regards to this task of great responsibility, is no small matter. H.I.M Haile Sellassie

So while admitting that we have come far, we must also acknowledge that we still have far to go. There are afflicted to be healed, torn to be repaired, the weak to make strong, the dirty to make clean, the bewildered to be consoled, the wrong to be put right and lives to be saved. Rastafari is the future, the future is here. Rastafari is a living reality, acknowledge H.I.M.
