This is an urgent alert for Sat Maharaj, Selwyn Cudjoe, Rajnie Ramlakhan, Cro Cro, Kamal Persad, Tony Martin, D Parsuram Maharaj and Sugar Aloes. Don't lose any time; get a copy of the Monday, May 22, Guardian and read Bukka Rennie's article on page 16.

Each of you believes that one of Trinidad's major races is made up of long-suffering heroes and the other consists of dastardly villains; you merely disagree on which is which. You're all wrong.

Mr Rennie sets forth a balanced, fair and unflattering analysis of both sides, their attitudes and the factors which have led to this post-colonial racial tension between the the two major former colonised races in this country.

There is no sense in my repeating his arguments. Just read it.
